The Museum "Zair Azgur Memorial Studio"

The museum was the home and studio of well-known Soviet sculptor Zair Azgur. The “Zair Azgur Memorial Studio” is a unique place as it is the only monographic museum in Belarus founded on the basis of the workshop of the academy of arts and Azgur’s private studio. The building was built for this purpose in 1984 and in 1996, after the death of the sculptor, became the museum. This workshop was Azgur's most favourite one as it constantly inspired him on creating his masterpieces. Although the main mission of the museum is to preserve and populize the heritage of the great master, but it also has held various exhibitions of modern art representing both well-known and forgotten authors. Besides, it organizes film sessions, music concerts and theatre festivals, thus becoming the platform for the development and self-fulfillment of the talented youth.
