Homieĺ Regional Museum of Military Glory

 

Gomel Regional Museum of Millitary Glory was opened in 2004 on the eve of the 60th anniversary of liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders. On April 26, 2005. full museum complex was opened, the ceremony was attended by President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. The exposition of the Museum is dedicated to the reflection of the events of Gomel military history from ancient times to the present day. The exhibition is located in the 8 halls on two floors of the museum building. On the open area of the museum there are an exhibition of military equipment of the XX century, the local exhibition "Partisan town", the local exposure in the ambulance car and a pneumatic shooting gallery.

  • Firearms and ammunition eighteenth of ХVIII-ХХI centuries;
  • Steel arms of XVII-XX centuries;
  • Military clothing and equipment;
  • Phaleristics of XIX-XXI centuries;
  • Numismatics;
  • Philately of XX century;
  • Documents of ХIХ-ХХ century;
  • Defense industry equipment of Gomel in 1930-2000 years;
  • Films and photos of I-st and II-nd World Wars;
  • Painting, graphics, sculptures;
  • Arts and crafts.
