Museo Valsusino della Resistenza
The Museo Valsusino della Resistenza (Susa Valley Museum of Resistance) in the town of Condove presents the local history of resistance to German and fascist occupation in the Susa Valley (Val di Susa) from 1943 to 1945. Its exhibits present period weapons, clothing and uniforms, written records, photographs, and recorded testimonies; these document the formation of local resistance and its activities, support from and the struggles of civilian populations, and the liberation of the Susa Valley and the city of Turin.
The museum is located within the former premises of the Officine Moncenisio, an engineering and industrial firm founded in Condove in 1906 and a supplier of arms during the Second World War. The firm was an important local industry until its closure due to bankruptcy in 1977; the property was acquired by the municipality. The museum was opened in 2014.
