Sereď Holocaust Museum
The Sereď Holocaust Museum was created on the site of the former labour and concentration camp in Sereď, which represents an authentic location that is linked to the tragic era of the solution of the Jewish question in Slovakia during World War II. The museum exhibits period documents, photographs, and items related to the persecution of Jews in Slovakia. One of the exhibited artefacts is a cattle wagon used to deport Jews to the Auschwitz concentration camp. The museum also serves as a memorial to murdered Slovak Jews. Approximately 16,000 passed through the camp in Sereď alone, most of whom perished during the Holocaust. The Sereď Holocaust Museum was created by and is part of the Slovak National Museum (SNM) - Museum of Jewish Culture.
