Casa Museo Raggruppamento Divisioni Patrioti Alfredo di Dio
The Casa Museo Raggruppamento Divisioni Patrioti Alfredo di Dio (Alfredo di Dio Partisan House Museum) records the history of partisan activity and resistance to German and fascist occupation in Ornavasso and the surrounding region from 1943 to 1945, most notably the formation and activities of the Valtoce Partisan Division (Divisione Valtoce). The museum, located in a house employed by local partisans and damaged by German artillery, contains a permanent exhibit which includes period weapons and uniforms as well as an archive of written and photographic documentation on the Valtoce Division.
The museum is named in commemoration of partisan commander Alfredo di Dio, who was killed by German troops at Sasso di Finero on October 12, 1944.
