Museo del Partigiano di Propata
The Museo del Partigiano di Propata (Propata Partisan Museum) is a small exhibition which preserves the history of a local group of Italian partisans, the Divisione Cichero of the Brigata Jori, who resisted German and fascist occupation in the Trebbia Valley and the Liguria and Genoa region from 1943 to 1945. Six explanatory panels present the history of the partisans and their activities, including their formation, daily life and activities, attacks on German and fascist forces, relations with local civilians, and their participation in the Liberation of Genoa between April 25 and 27, 1945. Personal items and testimonies are included from two former partisans, Bruno Benassai and Stefano “Croce” Malatesta, who fought in the region.
The museum is housed within a disused elementary school building; it was opened to the public on June 10, 2000.
