Museo della Resistenza Agostino Piol
The Museo della Resistenza Agostino Piol (Agostino Piol Resitance Museum) is a small shelter-museum located in the community of Altopiano Pian delle Femene. Maintained by the Belluno Section of the Associazione Nazionale Partigiani d'Italia (A.N.P.I) and the Municipality of Limana, the museum contains an artifact and photography exhibit on the formation of partisan resistance in the Veneto mountains and actions in opposition to German and fascist occupation from 1943-45. The museum is named for Limana-native Agostino Piol, a partisan lieutenant in the Brigata Ferruccio Gallo who died from wounds sustained in a battle with Italian Social Republic forces on October 9, 1944.
The museum is not regularly staffed and also operates as an alpine shelter, containing bunk beds and a kitchen for hikers.
