Centro Imolese di Documentazione sulla Resistenza Antifascista e Storia Contemporanea
The Centro Imolese di Documentazione sulla Resistenza Antifascista e Storia Contemporanea (Imola Documentation Centre on Antifascist Resistance and Contemporary History) or CIDRA is a local centre for the documentation, research, and public history relating to local experiences of war, fascism, and antifascist resistance. In addition to ongoing research work, the centre contains a permanent local history museum broken into six thematic displays: “After the Great War,” “Fascism and Antifascism,” “The Second World War,” “Deportation,” “Resistance,” and “The Postwar Period.”
CIRDA was first established in 1983, the same year in which the city of Imola was awarded the Gold Medal for Military Valor for its role in the Second World War; it was inaugurated in its present premises and format (including a permanent exhibit) in 2014.
